Edit a PDF online without uploading it to a server

Most free PDF editors send your file to a remote server before you can touch it — not great if it is a contract, an ID copy, or anything private. This tool loads the PDF straight into your browser and does every bit of the work there, so a bank statement or a signed agreement never leaves your computer.

Add text to a PDF that was not built for editing

Scanned forms and old PDFs usually will not let you type into them. Click "Add Text" to drop a text box anywhere on the page, pick a font (Helvetica, Times, or Courier), set the size, and make it bold, italic, or underlined. You can also line the text up left, center, or right, so it actually matches the form.

Sign a PDF by hand with your mouse, finger, or stylus

Instead of printing a page just to sign it, use the signature pad to draw your signature directly with a mouse, trackpad, or touch screen, then drop it wherever it needs to go on the document.

Draw, highlight, and mark up a PDF page

Circle a mistake, underline a clause, or highlight the part someone needs to read first. The draw tool works freehand for notes and corrections, and the highlight tool adds a soft marker-style overlay over any text or section.

Add rectangles, circles, lines, and arrows to a PDF

Boxing off a section, pointing an arrow at a signature line, or drawing a circle around a date field makes a document easier to follow. Pick a shape, choose whether it should be filled or just an outline, and set the color and line thickness.

Insert a logo, stamp, or photo into a PDF page

Upload a PNG or JPG to place a company logo, an approval stamp, or a photo anywhere on the page. Drag it into position and resize it by pulling the corner handle until it fits.

Zoom in and work on multi-page PDFs

Zoom in when you need to place text or a signature precisely, and zoom back out to see the whole page. Flip between pages with the page controls, so a multi-page contract or report is just as easy to edit as a single page.

Undo a mistake or fix something you added

Made a change you did not mean to? Undo and redo work the same way they do in any editor, so you can experiment with placement without worrying about ruining the page.

Download the edited file as a PDF or an image

Once everything is placed the way you want, download the result as a regular PDF file, or export the page as a PNG image if that is what you need to share instead.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool upload my PDF to a server?

No. The PDF is opened and edited entirely inside your browser. It is never sent anywhere, and it is not stored after you close the tab.

Can I sign a PDF with my finger on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The signature pad works with touch screens, a stylus, or a mouse — whatever you have on hand.

Can I add shapes and arrows, not just text?

Yes. You can add rectangles, circles, lines, and arrows, and choose their color, fill, and line thickness.

Does it work on PDFs with more than one page?

Yes. Use the page controls to move between pages, and add text, drawings, or images to any page in the document.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can edit, or do I need to pay?

No limit, no sign-up, and no payment. Use it as many times as you need.
